Approaching Solstice

If you live here, in the PNW, you are aware of just how dark it really is this time of year. Any and all light is gorgeous, muted and welcome. Hang on long enough and in a few weeks, the light will start returning. Solstice.

I was chatting with a fellow tribe member yesterday and realized that my years really do revolve around the solstices (it's a word, I looked it up). Therefore, my year revolves around the light. Unlike some, I do not suffer seasonal affective disorder. The dark charms me. I love the gray light, the yellow prismatic glow on the water, or the horizon. I love the rain, especially when it is heavy, and big drops. I love the howling wind, and the wild smell of the weather here.

I also love change. I have moved a lot in my life, and love it. In my opinion, there is no better way to check in with your "path" than by moving and changing.

So dark and change....this is my time of year.

If you find it is not your time of season, or you find change a fear, I am curious why? What do you need? How can I help?

If this is your time, love to you fellow hibernator (also a word)!!! Remember to get outside, look up at the rain and re-store.
